Ok, I've checked the single fuse (good), and the 4 relays (by switching with the window winder relay) but my remote doesn't lock or unlock the doors. I've done the reprogramming steps ( key in, position 2, remove key and hold lock button down while pressing unlock button 5 times, release all buttons and press tailgate button to finalize.) When I do the reprogram, the tailgate unlocks when I hit the button to finalize. It only works once, and none of the other buttons work ( if I press them instead of the tailgate button for finalization.) the local auto parts store checked the fob and "said" it was sending a signal. Is there a different fuse block other than the one under the hood somewhere I missed? If not, what else could cause this problem? Side issue (possibly unrelated) the central locking switch on the console only locks the doors, won't unlock them. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

 

you need a mercedes diag computer to program the remote. ive tried the reprogram procedure without the computer many times and ive never had it work. ive read online that this can be done but Im sure its wrong information. Some dealerships can do this for free if your lucky enough to get a nice technician or have a good relationship with your service advisor.
