Default 2001 ML320 door lock problem

Hi, I have a 2001 mercedes ml 320 and the driver side door actuator broke and ever since then the remote buttons for door locks and etc on key dont work. I tried my other key and it doesnt work either. Is there a reset procedure for the key door locks? Is there a fuse or relay or something I can check for the door locks? anyone know where i should start? Thanks, Danny

mili,

key can be reprogramed at dealer or independent shop that has the right computer to do so .
and at same time shop can make all doors lock & unlock to see if all are in working order or which doors need lock assemblies. [ common problem bad locks ]

Default Door lock actuator

Does anyone know of a place near chicago or anywhere I can ship to that repairs these or is it better off to buy a new one? Thanks, Danny

Angry power door locks

I have similar problem. But in my case the stealership broke my power lock door system. It worked perfectly when i brought in for service. The service manager asked me if door locks work, I said they work fine, I showed him. He said for older ML door locks fail.
I pickup my ML after service, low and behold, door locks no longer work. He said it's the key batteries, had them replaced and still doesn't work. Stealership wanted $120 bucks to trouble shoot. They said it's some kind of accuator that failed. Approximately $400 to fix. I think the stealership some how shorts them out.

Same issue after Battery was replaced. Tech told me to take it in , needs to connect to laptop and reprogram it. After an hour of no go, they asked me to leave it with them a couple of days. not going to happen. I am unable to lock or alarm my doors
