1999 ml320 a/c problems
 

i am considering purchasing a ml320 with 123000 miles however the seller says it has AC PROBS and the quote to repair is $1000.

what problems with the a/c and the costs to repair has anyone else had?

I have 168K miles and never had a single problem with A/C yet. Get a second quote from other A/C specialist to find out what component is bad in the system. They usually want to replace the compressor, since it is the most expensive part. Have the seller even try to recharge it? It could only be a pressure or temperature sensor not letting the system to come on.

I have a 2000 ml320 and I had to replace the whole ac system. The labor adds up because it takes so long to get the dash out. aprox 22 labor. $1000 sounds right.
