Every dealership is different. Understand that every dealership is just a building that some person bought and decided they wanted to own a dealership. All they had to do was pay royalties for the branding, and of course buy cars solely from that brand. Every dealership is a FRANCHISE in essence. Both at my last dealership and my current dealership there is a pre-set number of loaner vehicles designated to the Service Department, and designated vehicles to the Sales Department.
COVID destroyed the idea that a loaner vehicle can be available to anyone that asks for it. Between the chip shortage and new dealership policies and ideologies, loaner vehicles are few and far in between. They probably said 3 months because they loaned out a vehicle to a customer who won't get their car back for 3 months, probably because the part they need for the car is on backorder. And only in extreme circumstances have I witnessed a dealership PAYING for a rental vehicle for a customer. Unless the dealership did something to damage your vehicle or inconvenience you out of the use of your vehicle, there is NO WAY they're going to rent a car for you. It is this mindset that you and hundreds of thousands of other people have that drive dealerships crazy about loaner vehicles - just because your vehicle's repairs won't be done same day does not entitle you to a loaner vehicle despite what any manager or sales person has said to you. Loaner vehicles are a COURTESY, end of story. |

Thanks for your explanation, DFergusonMB. Actually, I was about to face the same problem. Luckily I managed to avoid it. I was really lucky to have a friend who helped with my under debt review car without deposit. Anyway, I’m glad you’re happy about your purchase, redneck22. Actually, life is full of wonders. And as it turned out, “wonder” doesn’t always mean that smth good is coming for you. Anyway, I’m happy you’ve managed to get away with it. Hope you’re happy too. Keep it updated. Best wishes

What resources and methods do you use to find reliable and affordable car rental services?
|
If you are looking for a quick and easy way to rent a car, I advise you to use the service http://carolinarentacar.net/. It so happened that I was left without a car at the entrance and I needed to go to another city urgently. All car rental services were already closed at late hours and only this service saved my situation and provided me with a car. I am very satisfied with the service!
