Had a Garmin Nuvi 1490 before I bought the Mercedes a month ago (I must say I really love the car!). The Nuvi had traffic alert that received its information through your FM signal. For upcoming traffic (think it was within 25 or 50 miles), it provided you the estimated delay time, an option to reroute and a map that you could use to view traffic on other interstates/ highways nearby.

Other than suscribing to Serius and using their traffic information, is there another way to get this information or another navigation DVD that works with the Command system? I don't want to carry the Nuvi along if there is another option.

My radio keeps shutting off every 30 minutes and my backup camera has stopped working does anyone have any experience with this problem

 

Hi Michaela - what model and year is this in reference to? Have you tried pulling any codes?
