whistling/purring sound from engine
 

1999 E430 - there is a not very loud purring/whistling sound when I start the car which continues intermittently (longer durations initially, about 10 to 15 seconds)for about 5 minutes while driving and then disappears probably when the engine has warmed up. This sound appears to come from the passenger side back of engine. Any ideas? Thanks!
