Weird Letters in my E-240 computer screen?!
 

Hi everybody ,

I had just bough an E-240 2004 model and i had got a weird problem in it , which is that the computer screen show me some weird Letters Like "S" or "SE" or "N" or "NE" which I have no idea what is the deal with them and the car keeps alerting every minute , and some functions blink for a once every 5 or 6 minutes like the "SRS on Red" and it show me these messages "Display faulty visit workshop" and "

The car is good and am having to technical or mechanical issues in , but this weird thing is annoying me , so any body is having any idea about this problem and why it came up and what is the solution of it ?

Note:-
I had noticed that this problem is coming mostly when the weather out side is very hot

hmm, conserning the letters SE, SW and NE i guess this has to do whit det navigation - the system is telling you in which way/direction you are driving (South East, South West and North East). This is not an errormessage, i believe. Try to switch off your navigationsystem, and i guess this messages will disappear.

The two other errormessages i don`t know.

aha , but am not using navigation system as the cd is already not available with me , so i assume its already switched off right ?

cd only contains map. the gps can still work and the tracking too.

other one seems to not recognize the key.

other one, busted bulb.

Thanks you all guys for expalanation , today i get a new msg "SRS Restrain Defective System" . does it mean that the SRS will not work in accidents ?

S=south, SE=Southeast, N=North, is a compass. It is offered as an option in the E class. For the other issues you MUST go to an authorized shop or a MB dealer.

seatbelt got problem. either switch or seat occupancy sensor.

yeah , i realized that am not getting the seat belt alarm when am not putting it on , so how can i solve this problem ?!
