W210 electric ignition switch wiring harness !!
Hi. My first post on this forum.. Let's see what i can get !
I've recently got an alarm system that i realy want to mount myself ! It is a remote (pager) system that can do all kind of stuff like remote starting the engine according to the wait to start lamp, etc.
So. my first big problem would be that the remote starter module should connect to the electric ignition/starter switch wiring harness and i should have discovered wich wire is the continous 12v+ and wich one is the accesory wire, starter wire, 2x ignition wire ! NO LUCK ! the wiring in there is preaty odd ! there are 2 red wires with constanta +12v , two other colors wires (one would provide 12v only on key position 1 and 2 but in 3 and start no output, the other one would start providing 12v only on 3 position and ) there is no wire that would provide 12V only on start and than loose voltage as i imagine the starer wire would do ... Can anyone help me here with some wiring information on the EIS harness ?
My car is an E-klasse 2001 e220 , with a key of plastic (with infrared i think). I must mention that the car allready has an alarm system of its own.... Thank you in advance !
