Turbo Loss
After 3 weeks of ownership of my E320 CDI, which I purchased in Fl (I live in NY), drove up north. At 2,025 miles, turbo has shut down. Car still runs, but engine is in "limp" mode. Took it to a dealer and he said he just saw a service bullitan about that problem. Valve gets stuck closed? Very frustrating. They have to order the part from Germany and will not be here for over a week. Car is out of commission for almost 2 weeks! Has anyone else had this problem? Car drives great, however. Went from Savannah, GA to central NJ on 3/4 tank of fuel cruising at 75 mph. The best car gas milage I have ever owned. I hope this is not a problem that will happen again. I have a 1995 C220 that I keep at my house in FL w/only 32,000 on it. Never a problem w/that car. If anyone has had the same problem, please let me know. Thanks.
