Towing with a W211

Has Anyone towed with a W211? It's an 04 E500, and Wifey wants a camper!

Answer

They are OK for ultra light towing.
* No mountain or desert hauling.
* If the total LOADED trailer weight is under 1200 pounds.
* If you can find a hitch that will not damage the car.

A heavier load will burn up the transmission in a few moderate hills.
