Hi I have a E220 yr 00.When I bought the car,there was no telephone inside but on the dashboard,when i press on the button for telephone,it says'Telephone option not installed'.
Can anyone help me PLZ

 

Okay?!? What is it that you need help with? You do not have a phone installed ( it was a dealer installed option )...if you would like to have an integrated phone, you have to buy one and install it.

 

But there is any option so that when i talk on my cellular phone the conversation can be heard on the speaker?Help me PLZ

 

From whatI understand, there is no current phone you can buy that will seamlessly work with the Mercedes system. So unfortunately you have a nice stereo with a ton of buttons that you won't likely use.

There are a few devices that you can install in your factory cigarette lighter that tap into your speakers and use bluetooth. they are very new and work on any car. If I find a link I'll add it. In the meantime, unless you use that option, there's really nothing else you can do.

 

is there anyone that have this optional phone system in their car? wondering if it is integrated with regular cell phones (i.e., nokia, erricson, etc), or if it has it's own dedicateddevice.

acura and lexus, for example, has a bluetooth built-in the car, which automatically detects the owner's bluetooth phone and integrates the phone with the speaker and mic in the car.

i am surprised that the german cars don't have these features yet.
