Stereo sound cutting out and back on
 

Hi I have a 2005 Mercedes E320 CDI. The stereo has navigation screen and telephone but no nav & tele. Was wondering if anyone came across this problem that's driving me nuts. The sound from the cd or radio would cut out and then come back. It does this all the time hot or cold and doesn't matter when. I've taken the stereo out and inspected it. All the wires and the fibre optics are good and connection is good. Is the problem with the stereo or is there an amp. Hope someone has come across this. Thanks in advance.

I have an '04 E320 wagon with the nav and cd and the stereo will "cut out" for a few seconds only once after each start. It is annoying but apparently it is one of those unacknowledged known defects...like the ride height control or the catalytic converters rattling loose. Since the stereo is integrated to the rest of the a/v I'm of the opinion that it is not worth the expense or the agrivation. Regards, Bob

Hi. I have a 2005 Mercedes E320 the same thing happened to me, then the battery got drained a few days, and when I jump-started it, the problem was solved. So I figure out that if you unplugged the battery for a while some system must restart. Hope it helps !!!!
