there too many reasons for your problem... I would suggest this to begin...

- fuel pumps... do you hear a faint buzz noise when you turn the ignition key ON..? Check the fuse box for any boken fuse...

RE: Starting

I would start with some basic questions. Have you done anything to the vehicle recently and if you have start there to see if you have blown a fuse or diturbed something.
Did it just fail to start one morning or did it conk out whilst driving ?
Have you tried removing a spark plug after engine cranking and if so was the plug wet with fuel ? Is there spark at the plugs when you crank it over ?
As a shot in the dark my present 1989 300 TE failed to start a few weeks ago and I had a similar problem with my previous 260 E cause in both cases was the fuel relay.
In both cases I managed to re-start them by removing the fuel relay tapping it with a spanner and re-fitting the relay. It started straight away but would not start again a few minutes later. In both cases a new fuel relay fixed the problem permanantly. The relay is located behind the battery where there are a number of relays grouped together its next to the overload relay. Its worth checking the fuses in the overload relay whilst you are there. They are under a small transparent cap on the top of the relay itself. This relay can also cause problems so its worth checking its had the later relay. Hope this helps.
