Speedometer
1989 300E / 70,500 miles!
Speedo needlewobbled a bit at times (a few miles per hour) and would last for up to an hour but would then operate perfectly for the rest of the day. The cable or speedo did not make any noise when the needleoscilated. I had previously disconnected the speedocable months ago when the cluster was pulled out for new instrument cluster bulbs. I was careful to reconnect the cable and everything worked fine until just recently. Maybe not related? All othergauges work fine. Any thoughts?

well, I didn't do too much to fix it, but I just went ahead and bought a new speedometer cable....but its way too cold out to try and fix anything here in Ohio, so I am just driving my other car for now...ps, I bought the speedometer cable for $25
sorry that its taking me so long, I hope to try to install the speedometer cable this week, I have been really busy, but going to be not as busy for the next week or so....I wasn't sure if you have figured out your problem yet or what not, but I will repost my results
