Default Spark Plug Recommendations

Anyone have any good or bad experiences with specific brand/types of spark plugs? I have a '98 E320 Wagon. Need to change plugs.

The real thing is more then one plug, even the mercedes cross reference for plugs in the e series and the amg manual give ngk as a plug brand,
fr8dpp33,ngk 7090,beru 14 fgh 8 dpur x2,all are oem type plugs all work just fine.
no anti seize, torque properly, don't remove the wires from the coils.

nice diy with pics over on benzworld.org w210 forum diy section.
the closest plug to the original bosch platin as they were called is the ngk 7090 bkr5egp plug single platinum side electrode,no need for the 2,3,4 electrode plugs and no need for iridium either, plus the ngk plugs can be bought for less then $3 each at most parts stores.

In the past, my experience has shown that the four electrode sparkplugs
by Bosch cut down engine knock because of fuel differences. I suspect that the
ground electrode, because of its length, is a source for engine knock. What I
haven't checked is if there is any penalty in the fuel consumption by using these plugs.

If you have knocking, you either have poor fuel, not running preimum or a bad knock sensor. An oem single side electrode plug will not create knocking in a properly running engine.
