Default sirius radio installation info

does anyone have experience in installing sirius satellite radios in a 01 e320? Does anyone know of or can recommend an installer in the Los ANgeles area?
Or does MB make a replacement radio to go in the dash with Satellite radio included? I have am/fm cassette, no gps.

thanks
chuck

As far as I know, adding MB Sirius SAT radio (Integrated) can only be done to US spec D2B comands from 2004 and up, and to Audio units / DVD comands in cars with MOST wiring. If you want to add SAT radio to a pre 2004 D2B comand, you have to connect it to the AUX input - or to a possibly installed TV tuner. All you can control from the head unit / steering wheel controls, is the volume...

With Alon's suggestion, I ordered a mount from Kuda. It is designed for a cell phone, but it is the exact color of my java interior, and it looks great! Leather wrapped and it fits on the side of the center console, between the glove box, and the console. It really looks like it belongs there. I am getting together with Alon this weekend to run the wires, and antennae. I will either go with just the alternate fm channel that is built in, or get a cassette converter that will run the sound thru the tape player. that way I will still have the option of installing a cd changer in the trunk. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR INPUT AND INFO. CHUCK

Well as of today the 2nd of Sept. Alon is a no show. He didn't follow up on making an appointment with me to install the system. hmm, oh well at least i got a really cool mount out of the unfortunate situation. Now to find someone responsible enough to call me back and install the system. I appreciate the info and effort.
