Default Service costs for "extras"

Hi, I've recently been informed of 'extra' costs for my A service. Can anyone tell me what's involved in the following 'extras':

Automatic transmission replaced - £229
Brake Fluid replaced - £85
Combination filter - £34

I'm sure they don't mean they will replace my auto transmission. Apologies for my ignorance - my first Merc

Thumbs up

Hi, I'm in Australia & had the Transmission overhauld in my 1989 260e 'cause I had no forward gears. The cost was $4,500, about 2,000 pounds 4 years ago. This happened at 113,000 miles or 180,000 kilometres. My friend recently had his 1995 e220 overhauld & cost him $2,500. You got to shop around.
I would assume it's only for a service, oil & filter change, but seems pretty pricey including what they're charging for brake fluid renewel.
My Trans guy is charging me $130 which is about 80 quid in your money.

I'd ring up & get other quotes. Best of luck.
