i have a 2001 E320 and my keys are not working , they slide in the ignition but it does not turn.the unlocking sound that you here when you first slip the key inside does not make any sound.the unlocking remote on the key(fob) does not work, lock or unlock, and the panic button on the key is also out. it seems that a few things were disabled. also i had the the battery recharged.

weak car battery..first thing to check.
