Seat won't move

Hello fellow MB owners!
I received as a gift my old Dad's 1987 W124 300D turbo and am trying to fix all the little thing he chose to let slide, such as the passenger front seat electric adjuster. The seat is stuck in the full elevated position, so I plan to remove it and lower the seat to allow my passengers an easier time getting in and out. Question is, what do I have to do to accomplish this? Or should I just start looking for a good used seat adjuster assy? Thanks in advance for any help offered. Semper Fi! |
Before forking out a small fortune for a seat, make sure the backrest on the rear seat behind the seat that's not working is fully latched. If its unlatched it disables the power seat from moving. This happened to my 2005 E500 before and the stealer told me I needed a new seat, till I went home and realized the rear foldown for the backseat was unlatched. Hope this helps
