Default Replacing Belt Tensioner Pulley Bearing

Hi,

I need to replace the bearing on the pulley belt tensioner on my E300D. I have got the bearing but just needed to know any tips on how to do this job before I start.

I am going to drain the coolant, remove the radiator to give full access to the front of the engine. Then, see if I can undo the retaining bolt for the bearing. Once this is done, Can I just relax the tension on the belt and pull off on to set itself ?

All advice gladly accepted.

SC

what year car. this job is simple no need to remove anything but the belt. if its a 96 or newer it a piece of cake. take you ten minutes if you have the proper needed tools.
