Call nearest Mercedes dealer with your vehicle VIN number and they will give you the code.

Not likely. The purpose of a radio security code is to discourage theft. So they are kept confidential as much as possible. If you are the registered owner of the car and have photo id (DL) you can drive to the dealer in person and request the code. The will oblige. Just don't go at 8am when they are very busy with the days service requests. It's a courtesy they are extending to you.

Some other things to consider.

If you have the original documentation for your car, look for a 'credit card' sized card with the code on it. If you have the leather binder, it may be in one of the pockets and not visible. Also check the back of the owners manual or radio manual. Sometimes people write it down there.

If you have any service invoices from a dealer or MB approved independent mechanic, look in the misc data 'box' somewhere in the middle of the first page. If you see a 5 digit number with/without a label it is probably your code. Mechanics need it since they must often disconnect battery.

Finally, if your radio is a Becker, you can fax the above identification and radio serial number (you'll have to pull the radio) to Becker North America with a fee and they will send you your code.

BTW, when entering the code be careful and be sure you have the right code. If you get it wrong the first time you will have to wait to try again. Each incorrect entry increases the waiting time until you are forced to wait up to 24 hrs and the radio must be on during the wait.

If you have the car serviced at the dealer, they will most times give you the code.If they know you.
you will also need to resync your windows and sunroof and recenter your steering wheel angle sensor.

In response to 'RichardM98', just to let you know that some radio codes are only 4 digits as is the case with my 2002 C230 coupe. Great summary of what to do.
