Question about RIMS!
 

i have a 1999 E320, i have to replace the rims so i was wondering if these will fit?

they were off an 2003 S Class, the monoblock style rims.
Specs.
2 each 19x9.5" with 255 40 19 Pirelli pzero tires. These are for the front.
2 each 19x9.5" with 285 35 19 Pirelli pzero tires. These are for the rears.
Offset is ET46


im pretty sure the offset for my car is ET41, i think bolt pattern is the same but i have no clue if they will fit! any help?

i think the first link below may give you a good idea. i have a 99 E320 also and i think the large
offset will put the inside of the tire so far inwards that it will hit suspension when fitted on the front.
dont know for sure, but the rear may be okay with such an extreme offset.

I have E55 take-offs for rims/tires. so it looks like this

FRONT=245/40-18, 8.5", ET30
REAR= 265/35-18, 9", ET37

I have lowered using Vogtland springs (approx 1.24" all around). the outside facing side of the
front tire touches the metal edge of the wheel arch when under heavy compression/bumps. this is with std #3 pads. little fender is needed...as well as possibly swapping out the #3 with #4 or 5.
currently i am using KoniSport adj shocks and swapping out today for Bilsteins which are valved for higher compression dampening .

The rear is just fine on clearance and function.

What does all this mean for your project? It means that the rim selection is crucial to function. I
think your offset is too high and you need to get it back to the mid-point in recommendation which
should be about 37.
