I totally agree..just use the recommended fuel and have trouble
free rides everyday than arguing in favor of cheaper fuels; which
will eventually cost you more in the end.

RE: Proper fuel

A year ago I had my left head cover pulled off - part of a valve inspection. They were making noise at start up, but would quickly go away. Long story... thought it was the oil passages, etc... anyway, the mechanic noticed that the engine had some sludge - thanks to the past three owners - and he noticed that the valves were in outstanding condition - you can thank me and the strict premium fuel diet that I feed my car. My mechanic said that about the best thing that I could do to get rid of the sludge was to change the oil more frequently using synthetic oil. I've been doing it ever since and the valve noise has lessened over the past year. Fuel... oh... yeah... use premium - it's worth the $2.00 at the pump over a regular fill up. Can't afford it? Maybe you should drive a Chrysler instead...[:'(]

I don't like to use just any 91 octane either. Anyone else like Shell V-Power? Maybe it's all in my head, but I swear the car feels better running on it.
