Power seat switch wont work unless doors are open?
On my 87 300E and my friends same model the power seats wont operate by using the door switches unless the doors are open?? Someone said this is a "safety feature"? It's not very safe to open my door going down the road to adjust the seats..plus the neighbors car (86) doesnt have to open the doors his work just fine..whats going on..anyone know?

Have that door switch/plunger checked for function. Do interior lights power on as expected
when door open (and extinguish off when closed)?
