Purchased a 2008 CDI Bluetec a few months ago. The fuel milage is a high percentage off from my previous 2005 cdi. From what I get milage wise I should have searched for a gas vehicle with 30 plus. Haven't gotten anywhere near that yer and reachung 5k. Any thoughts? If 26/27 is it next time it will be time to part friends...

My 2007 Bluetec averages about 30 to 32 miles per gallon around the mountains at Lake Tahoe, NV. On trips such as down to LA and back I made 38 MPG on the way down but on the way back only 36 MPG. The best on the road millage has been 40 MPG at 60 MPH flat ground and no headwind.
