Hello,

I'm planning to buy 18inch 8x5 rims for my 95 E320, I called couple places they told me I could only put 225/40/?.... Does Anyone know If bigger tires will fit? Could I have:::

calm down.

If you can get the rims to fit right then all you need is a tire with a lower profile than the stock ones usually.
Or you will get rubbing in the wheel well.

I usually try to stay away from changing the overall outside diameter of the tire. You can use larger (18") rims, but then your tires will have to be shorter in the sidewall profile.

If you change the outside diameter of your tires, you will experience a notable effective change in the speed and torque of the vehicle, require recalibration of your speedometer or your mileage and speed will be wrong, and as mentioned possible scrubbing in turns, as well as ABS complications.

Its ok to change the overall diameter a small amount without problems, but my experience tells me any more than 2cm bigger in diameter without mods causes problems.

i think you would have found answers by searching the wheels and E forums. others have asked...and answers provided previously.
