Performance Parts for a 94 E320
ORIGINAL: jmang09
i have never heard of the amg32 engine. I have however heard of the amg 3.6 liter I6 in the C36 (276 hp, 284 ft-lbs.). That engine might fit into a w124. But I would reccomend intputing the e500 engine into that chassis (315 hp, 347 ft-lbs). A transmission swap might be necessary. I googled it and didnt really find anything, but hope this is a good start. Good luck, and let me how it goes, i got a 94 e320 and might do the same.

Hi all. I'm buying a very nice 1994 E320 w/ I6 engine next week and have two questions...
1.) My new car will have ~200,000 miles on it - dealer employee owned and maintained, no expense spared. It's had the head gasket replaced at 135,000 miles. What's the expected life of these motors if I take good care of it?
2.) Since the aftermarket seems sparce for this car, I was wondering if anyone knows what tranny(s) are in used in this car? What kind of HP levels will they handle? I'm well versed in the aftermarket Toyota Supra world and I want to look into swapping a twin turbo (ultimately a single turbo conversion) 3.0L I6 Supra motor to replace the tired 3.2 I6 engine that's already there.
