noob to this forum, but thought I'd inquire to any information/beware of's prior to purchasing a 2005 E320 CDI with about 130k miles on it. We have had several diesel's in the past, but the w211 series would be a first and after searching online I wanted to see what current users have to say about it and, more importantly, if there are any drawbacks or things to keep in mind/look out for? I do know the vehicle I am looking at has received fresh brakes/rotors and overall servicing, but what caught my ear was that the tranny bolt on the drop pan was replaced...to me that was odd and rendered me to search any transmissions issues on this series and I did find several which led me to seek some real world forum responses.

Any information/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
