My E Class Tune-up
Will someone tell me if I should wait for the computer to tell me when to get a tune-up or is there a mileage to go by. In any case what all should I have done and approx. what are we looking at $ wise. Mine is a 2001 E320 with 76,000. I just bought it 2 months ago and it seems to have been well maintained.[&:]
Check the previous owners records if they had it dealer maint, when was the last service, oil change etc?At 70k with unknown service if you can't find it do these, and most can be done by you if you want to learn and don't mind getting some dirt under your nails, which I'm thinking you do not mind ,since you are here asking.A take charge lady!

no plugs yet that can wait till 100k,find a indie shop near you by asking around on this forum or over on mbworld.org or benzworld.org,unless you want to do it all and then just ask how and we can show you.
It is also time to get in addition to the a service(A) a transmission fluid and filter change, benz says they are lifetime fluid, that is a myth, get it changed, again ask here or on the other good sites, how.

Don't know where you are located but schedule (A )service can run upwards of more than $300 pretty steep for what amounts to looking at a bunch of things, and changing the oil and filter.
once again find out what the last service was,if the 70-75 was done then wait and check what the fss says on the dash. How to tell miles to next service is found by asking here or the other sites how to read your fss.
good luck with the new wheels
