Long Wheelbase E Class
 

Any good rumors about the US getting the longer E Class? It's available in China. As I recall it gives an additional 5.5 inches of rear legroom. Why isn't this a good idea for the rest of the world? It would give those of us who would like a little extra room S Class space without a $50k premium in price. I know lots of folks who would like the room but won't or can't step up to the $100k S Class price.

Well, over a Sunday BBQ, I had 3 folks ready to sign up at a $10k premium over the standard length. I'd be willing to bet it would sell more than you think. You put average size folks in the back seat of an E and they're not really comfortable. As for me, I'm way over the average size but have you seen how big the kids are these days?
