RE: left turn signal stuck

If you have an aftermarket / non-mercedes car alarm fitted. And this alarm flashes your indicators. This can be the problem. The relay contacts in the alarm unit tend to weld together leaving one or both indicators constantly lit. As a quick test, disconnect the multiplug from the alarm and see if the light goes off. If the alarm manufacturers would use a relay capable of handling the current involved in flashing front and rear and side repeater bulbs all at once ( up to 5 amps in some cases ) we wouldn't have this problem.

Hope this helps.

Brian.

Just had this problem in my 02 clk320. Took it to a german shop and its the combination stalk. they charged me 150 for part and 300 for labor.

Right, it should be the multi function switch or the flasher relay
And if it is the stalk that is what? frozen? Yes, it will need to be replaced
Those above numbers sound about right
