Just bought 03 E320, have a couple questions!
Hi all,
I'm trying to find out where the air filter and Pollen filter are located in my car. I can't seem to find anything about it in the provided manual. Is there a site or book I should pick up?
Also, and I know this is a long shot but has anyone had any luck getting an after market phone, like the Palm treo to work with Bluetooth through the existing system?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rick

RE: Just bought 03 E320, have a couple questions!
For the E320 you have two air filter elements and they are inside the air box. The air box is the big black thing that covers most of the engine. This unit pulls off (has 4 snaps) by first pulling the front than the rear . Flip it over and you'll see the two compartments with covers held in with 4 Torx screws for each cover. Remove the covers and you'll see the filter elements. When replacing the airbox on the engine, take care in making sure the box fits correctly on the mass air flow unit (rear of engine).
The pollen filter (also know as the cabin filter) is in the engine compartment. Facing the engine, look to the upper left hand side of the engine compartment and you'll see a black plastic cover unit held down by a small nut on a fender mounted stud. Unscrew the nut and pull the unit up, and toward the back of the car. The cabin filter is housed inside the plastic unit -- it snaps in/out easily. By the way, when you take the cabin filter housing off, you'll see the aux battery below.
The owner's manual provides very little maintenance information.
