ignition problem
Hi there,
Got a 1997 E320 (piece of crap). In addition to all other problems that I am wrestling with, recently, the car starts on cold, but just as soon as the engine is warm, the car does not start properly. I'd have to literally press the gas pedal upon ignitiion start and even that sometimes does not work. I am wondering if there is a temperature sensor of some sort that controls how the ignition works. Just as soon as I leave the car to cool down overnight, the car starts just fine.
I appreciate any insight that you might have on this.
thanks.
Majid.

Hello Majid, It appears that you have a fuel problem and not ignition. It seems that the fuel enricnment system works (cold start), but not the regular system that keeps the car at idle or above. The fuel pump could also contribute to this. Have you done any amount of troubleshooting at all?
PS. Are you in Vanuatu? How long and what are you upto there? I am from around from there as well.
Thanks.
