Default how to replace heater control valve on mercedez e320, 2004

I would like to help me sister in-law to fix the heater problem. she told me her car heater does not work. my family and her family are having rough life soi try to to be helpfull and save some money to release the metally stress. i have search on this forum and i came up with replacing heater control valve due to the temperature of the engine about 80 (normal) the air condition working fine. when i check the four hoses that connect to the valve (not sure that is correctheater control valve, please show me the location!), one of the hose seem like not really hot at all when i turn heater on high. would you pleaseguide me if i am on a right direction?this is my first time try to fix this problem. please show me in detail and some picture if it possible! it is winter time and it is very hard to drive the car without heater, please help!

Thanks!

under the wiper assembly. must remove wiper arms and water cowl. then you will see the valve with 3 hoses connected to it, that is the valve to replace. you have to remove the whole wiper assembly to access the valve.

there are 4 plastic screws on the cowl. they might break when you pull them out...no big deal though. pull up on the cowl firmly there are clips that hold down the cowl. pull from driverside then work your way down to the passenger side. there is also a drain hose attached to the cowl that you will see when you lift it up. remeber to reattach that. just pull up firmly and the clips will release nothing important to break so give a firm pull upwards.

no need to disconnect battery. the hoses are held on by " C " clip type clips. Iuse a 90 degree pick or radiator hose remover tool to unclip the clips they are in a sort of tight spot. then pull the hoses out of the valve. install the hoses to the new valve by just firmly pushing them in. lube the o- rings with vasoline or coolant to help with install. there will be an electrical plug to plug in also. thats it....then pour in coolant...you will only loose maybe a quart or so of coolant.. then run the defrost and purge out the air. install wiper assembly and cowl....dont forget to attach the rubber drain hose to the cowl. done....
