My 190e is turning 150k miles. I've not had engines last this long and wonder if I can expect much more or if I'm on thin ice.

I add 10k gentle miles/year mostly city. Car has never had the recommended dealer 70k etc services but gets regular oil/filter changes and uses premium fuel. Bought at 80k miles, has had new alternator, spark plugs, air/fuel filter, window switches and brakes. My philosophy 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' - runs great but I'm a worrier.

Previous 1989 190e got totaled in rear-end accident at 130k miles, wife insisted on replacement, and this one just keeps on purring.

 

Don't worry & get your sleep at night. If you do the right thing with your services it should last you for another 150,000 miles.
