HELP ME PLEASE ANYONE
 

Hell i am in trouble
I got a e class as a gift from my wife that she bought in spain recently
we live in west africa
i am happy with the car (even if the user manual is written in German) however this evening i went out and upon leaving the car i pressed the locking button on the key fob and walked away seeing that the lights flashed their usual 3 times however for some reason my finger stayed on the button and the lights flashed 6 timesmore when i returned to my car i unlocked and the lights flashed once but when i inserted the fob into the ignition total silence nothing and i cannot start my car
at the moment my car is about 60 kilometres away from home i have had to pay someone to look after it for me so i could take a taxi and return home with my baby boy
please is there anything anyone cansuggest i am so desperate i have looked through the forum and the referrences i see all make comments about red and green lights mine does not have them it has 3 buttons 1 for locking 1 for unlocking (padlocks) and 1 for opening the trunk

how much did you pay for someone to watch the car?

did you try the other keys?

how does the red and green light reacts to the key when you push the lock and unlock button?

do you want to synchronize the key?

do you need instructions?

what is your chassis number?

please check if your car is still there!

Please remind me not to call you when i am feeling down!
i paid about £15 for the guy to watch my car
the key is not the alarm kind there are no fandangled chritstmas tree red and green lights a button to lock a button to unlock and a button to open the boot
i called my friend last night who removed the battery - terminal at around 3am and he has just called to say that he has replaced it and still the same
the unlocking and locking and opening of the boot still works but thats it when i stick the fob in the ignition there is nothing the key does not communicate with the car
YES PLEASE if you have instructions i would be grateful
can i synchronise the damned key? if so HOW?
please please please be a friend i am at my wits end now no sleep and plenty of worrying

the red and green light i mean is on the rearview mirror or door handle.

anyway, i got no idea of your car model and you didn't give me the VIN yet.

have you tried using another key? seems the transponder is faulty.

okay, i need the first one because that was the VIN. the second one is engine number.

andy, according to your VIN, the car is already using EIS (electronic ignition switch) which is not programmable.

*as i say, try using another key (you got 3).
**check that the battery is okay and connectors.

i think the EIS is faulty

if you insert the key on the ignition, any telltale signals?

sleep walker
there is no tell tale signs other than the ignition make sno noise when i put the key in before it would make a click and sucking noise
everything is normal the courtesy lights etc light when i open up the doors and the fob actually opens and locks the central locking as well as open the trunk
it is all just the ignition i cannot have the car towed anywhere due to i dont want to bust the steering lock and there is no spare key
any further suggestions
so synchronising the key is not an option any more?
