Headlight issue

My 2007 e350 has an odd headlight issue and I don't know what to do. I had regular bulbs on it stock and I put in hids and led for the small front headlight. The problem is that I have tested all the lights before installing them and they work 100% but when I install them on my car and they work but intermittently. The led bulb worked fine for a while than stopped. I purchased new ones, again tested them but now they will not work on my car. I checked voltage and I get 11.5 at the socket. What the hell is going on??? My car has never been hit or touched electronically. Stock radio and stock everything else.

I also noticed another problem last night. The small front daytime lights goes from dim to bright, flickering but mostly stays dimm. What do i check to see what is going on?

I bet the smaller current draw of the new lights is upsetting the 'brains' in your car. If you added some other load to the lamp circuit so that the current draw was same as before, I wonder if the situation would be different?

the headlight harness to the city bulbs is a weak spot. look carefully and test
the bulb socket as well as the sub-harness leading to the bulb for signs of
premature failure (melting, decomposing, etc)

you indicate that 11.5vdc is at the bulb socket, but that means little if you've
not measured the car battery voltage (by comparison). at face value, 11.5
is low for the battery in good health/level.
