Harmonic Balancer defect or infect?
 

Sleepwalker and Senior mercedes engineers,

I have an E430 2000 AWD. I read on here that there was a recall for harmonic balancer. I took it to dealer who changed it for free. Since then when I turn my A/C on my temperature of my engine goes to to 120! When the A/C is off its fine. While I drive and the A/C is on its fine.

So i took a peek and noticed that I have 2 fans in the front. I think they are called auxillary (not sure)... One of the is spinning funny like it dying and the other spins once in a blue moon and stops again. I tried to manually spin them with my hand and they took off for a bit then slowly died again....

Is this something the dealer did? If he did how can i prove or what should i say? Or was this coincidence? If it was coincidence I should change, how much does it cost to replace or is it easy enough to replace myself.....?

BTW THANKS TO YOU GUYS - U SAVED ME $3500 dollars!!! the dealer (Ray Catena in Paramus NJ) said that i needed a transmission service, and oxygen sensors and whatnot...but I changed the MAF myself with your posts and help and my car is perfect!!!! THANK U SO MUCH.
