Fresh air /heater blower stopped working
 

I am new to the forum so hi all.I have a 95 E200 210 model and the fresh air/ heater blower has just stopped working,worked fine until I had the blower running with the circulating air switched on and then it died and smelled like burning coming through the vents!
I may be clutching at straws a bit but I thought I would check out the fuse but cant find the blower on the fuse listing inside the fuse box.
Just one other thing when I turn the blower on and of now there is a slight knock coming from the left side of the dash similar to the noise made by the circulating air switch when you switch on and off??
I would appreciate some help please guys.
