Default Electric Cooling fans

I have a 95' E320 wagon w/ 6Cyl inline.

I have noticed that the electric cooling fans do not come on when I turn on the A/C to full cold, with the engine cold.
The cabin air is cool due to the airflow across the condenser from the engine driven fan. But are the two electric fans supposed to come on with the A/C on?

They do come on when the engine reaches operating temperature.

I dont want to start changing tempereature sensors in the receiver dryer if this is normal.

Thanks,
Rick

Sounds normal to me. I don't think that they come on until a temp sensor indicates that the extra cooling is warranted. I would not worry. If they don't come on and your temp keeps creeping up... then I'd worry!

this is normal..during cold starting ,in order to get the engine at working temperature(80 degree celcius) ASAP, the fan will not run..

Different brands / models use different logic.
Sounds fine to me.
So why are you worried.
So long as the auxillary fans come on with the car stationary in traffic with the ambient requiring air across the condenser or if the engine temp climbs above normal, all is as it should be.

As everyone has noted this is totally normal. If they came on with a cold engine the operating temoerature would take much longer to reach and would just waste fuel. By the way these fans work independently of the A/C. They operate only when a high engine temperature is reached.
