E320 CDI 2000 poor starting
 

Could just be the cold weather but engine turns over fine but doesn't start first time. Turns over again fine second time and keeps turning over for a good few seconds before the ignition stops automatically.
Leave for an hour or so, try again and it will eventually start.

Battery or other problem ?

Thanks for your reply, Yes a good 5 seconds, must be the glow plugs- cars done 120,000 miles
