E Class (124) suspension advice please
 

Hello

I am in search of some advice concerning replacement suspension for my 1995 E280 Estate. The car has covered 170k with full and detailed service history.

The rear has recently developed a mind of it's own with a bit bounce long after the dip in the road has passed the rear view mirror.

I want to retain the ride quality and comfort for my family yet I am also keen to improve the sharpness of the handling. The car is fitted with 8 hole alloys and 195/65 15 tyres. I am about to have the steering damper changed, should I also consider bushes for the front end too?

Obviously there is the Sportline modification that I could opt for but is there any aftermarket options that may be similarly priced and offer superior ride and handling?
