Greets, new to the forum and MB's. I am looking at a 95 E300d and had a shop look at it. Report says differential bushings are 'coming apart' and lists 8 hours labor. How critical is this, and what is the symptom of these bushings failing? Is this a major repair and typical for 140K miles?

The car is too far to see it before I buy. Thanks in advance for any insight!
