Default A/c fan wired to run constantly source of battery drain?

Help please.. my a/c fan the one behind the radiator) wasnt coming on all the time so a mechanic wired it to stay on constantly..few days later I'm driving and the air cuts on and off, dash lights flicker, and radio cuts in and out, when home I shut her off (87300E) and she wont start now..wont even turn over..is wiring the fan to stay on constantly a bad idea, or did he maybe just do it wrong? Please help. Thanks

Yes, I had to jump it..but battery is practically brand new. Will the fan running constantly cause it to drain or can a battery handle this?

the battery cannot handle the supply on continous running of the auxialliary fan even if the alternator is charging with engine running.
