Brake Pad / Rotor info...
Hello all, newbie to this forum.
I am in the process of ordering pads and rotors for my 05-E320. The vehicle now has 31,000 miles on it and it has never had braje work done to it.
Can you all help me on the brand of pads and rotors I should be using. I have also noticed that with the original stuff I now have, the front seems to very noisy. Now I dont know if its from the front tires or the brakes. The brakes still have lining and are not scored. Pls help on brand. Thxs

where are you?
autohausaz.com great prices on oem rotors, drilled or slotted are just for show on these cars unless you race it.Akebono pads work great good stopping little dust, tirerack carries them and may also have a rotor package,if the rotors are smooth and not scored you can get one more use out of them and just change pads.Use anti squeal from crc brand on the pad backing plate to prevent squeek.Sand the rotor in a cross hatch pattern with 150 grit sand paper on a block,by hand is fine.clean rotor when done with dish soap and hot water then dry with a good spray of brake cleaner.remove the cap on the brake fluid res. and use a turkey baster to take out the fluid that rises when you push the pistons in.brake diy on benzworld.org w210 section
