Can someone tell me what I need to use bluetooth in my Mercedes E500? I am supposed to have phone capability. I have a Treo 650 phone. Please help!!!

i was told that blue tooth will not be an option on any Benz until 2007. are you sure you aren't suppose to be able to just use the older hard-wired phone option?

 

Do you have phone kit on your vehicle?

 

did you get an answer? my dealer says i can install a bluetooth system for $1600. i would do it if someone could tell me it would work with my treo. i don't want to switch phones.

 

It will work with your Treo, but not sure if phonebook can be uploaded.

 

If your car comes with a factory fitted MHI kit, all you need is swap the cradle for the Bluetooth dongle. If you don't have a phone kit installed in your car, you need to get this retrofitted first before you will be able to use the BT dongle.
