My a/c blower will only blow 1/2 speed and that's not enough when it's 19 degrees outside! I've done the searches, read about the regulator issues. I've located one for $160.00. I also read on another site that the regulator could be replaced with one from a W125 (I believe...I couldn't be wrong on the chassis, I know it's an S class model) which costs considerably less. Has anyone done this? Are there any issues tousing the other model?

I believe u mean a W126 the W125 was an experimental Mercedes from the 1930s.

 

If the regulator numbers are different I believe you will be heading for problems.
It may work but something will be different either electrically or mechanically (mounting etc.)
Best bet is to get part no info and see if it is interchangeable.

ok - thanks for the info. I haven't pulled it yet, just thought I'd get a start on "researching fixes" so I'd be prepared once I pull it out.
