Well, I suppose this is a rant about the fact that I can hear the hissing of the AC (compressor?) during normal operation. I took it to the dealer and he told me that the A/C unit on these year models are located just behind the vents and thus the noise is noticable. Supposedly they got so many compaints that newer E's have the A/C located away from the center vents to eliminate the hissing sound.

However, that is my only complaint thus far -- the car is suberb in all other respects. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Am I being too picky??

 

Sometimes this can be fixed by evacuating and regassing the system.

 

the expansion valve opening must have a very good spray position so as to produce that hissing.

i won't mind it if it's not audible while playing crossover on the CD.

 

Crossover???? I just googled this. Is it a type of music Sleepwalker?

 

yeah. some mixed of easy listening music/songs. something like toto, earth, wind and fire, hall & oats, etc.

i always make my own CD's because i am working in china and very seldom that they play english songs.

i like music and sometimes get a part time job of folk singing in the bar playing acoustic guitar with midi. i'm paid about $12/ hour.

yep.

every weekend, the guitar, bbq grill, tent, hammock and fishing gear is always inside the trunk of my car.

and tomorrow is weekend!!!

 

Here's an update... I've been looking at some other forums about this and they suggested topping off the coolant, so I'll try that. They said if that doesn't work, I might have a leak. Anyone familiar with this issue????
