technically youll need an airbag....but you might be able to remove the bag and try to fiddle with the horn contacts.

While out fiddling with the transmission and moving the vehicle it has now quit. Could it be a wiring problem or short somewhere, or the contacts like you stated?

every time ive seen horns blowing by themselves it needed an airbag...but airbags are 1000 bucks . you can pull the fuse to the horn or unplug the horns themselves

Got the same problem on my 2003 sl350. Been to my dealer and problem diagnosed as connection beneath the airbag on the steering wheel. Also the horn is activated when pressing the computer button !!
