94' E320 rough idle then got rip off by the italians
 

i had a thread posted about my e320 earlier, i changed the water pump and the bio degrable wire harness. got everything together, started her up and what did i find out...a very rough idle. to me it seems like 1-2 cylinders might be missing. so i didn't have the diagnostic reader to find the problems. i decided to take her to our honorable NATO allies, she barely got to their shop.

i checked on her 2 days later and the "mechanics" showed me some old spark plugs, "repaired the intake" and other stuff that wasn't related to the problem, well that drew up a 287 euro bill, which converts to close to 400 dollars.

no there is no rough idle but there is rough idle on start. to the point where it cuts off. start it back up and she idle nicley until i put her in drive and her engine hesitates where it almost cuts off then she goes. also when she do cut off, it take 2-5 minutes for her to fire back up...

to all the peoples on the mercedes forum i appreciate all the information, but please don't let me have to resort to the olive tree mechanics(in relations to American shade tree mechanics, which know how to work on cars). majority of the mechanics take advantage of American Military by doing unrelated maintenance and not even solving the problem:confused:
